I look forward to presenting Andy with his BMMC marshal of the year award (which was why he was put forward by the club for the MSA award) at the training weekend at Oulton Park - please join me there to congratulate Andy on both awards. Well done Andy!

I'm more interested in seeing the photos from the "Big Night". Will it be sequins?

God I was cold when you took that photo!

I wanted a quiet day because it was by first day back marshalling after trapping a nerve in my back - so I ended up flagging AND Post Chiefing on my own for the Birkett 6 hours, in the rain showers...

I think that photo was the only time in 6 hours when I wasn't waving a blue flag!!

Because we are the best - cant think of another reason really! We have a superb venue in Oulton Park which means all areas of marshalling can be covered without the need for separate days at different venues!! Plus the training team are pretty good too but don't tell them!!

Andy is responsible for the content of the training day application forms that are sent out to all.
It is a superbly simplistic form to follow if you wish to either upgrade or simply stay at your present grade (an idoit's guide infact)) which is good for me as i am a P/C.
The training sessions cover all aspects of marshalling over two days in one location, incident handling, fire fighting, flagging and observing (P/C) etc delivered by local officials who you see every weekend at Oulton and Anglesey.

I honestly find it a pleasure to attend and meet colleagues before the season starts.
