Saw my first M-B SLS roadster last night , parked up outside Specsavers.
God it's huge, really wide like a Testarossa. Dread to think what the rubber costs to replace. It was a plain maroon colour - surely they must do another colour more interesting than that. Still, each to his/her own. |

Yup I'm certain they can read this. |

I love the SLS, but it would be the hard top for me. How can you not have the gullwing doors?!

I saw one last week, which is unusual because they haven't officially gone on sale here yet, I think that is a month or two off yet.

Went to Tescos and passed a smart Jag Mk2 on chrome wires - a sort of sky blue colour, quite unusual.
Apparently there's a McLaren MP4-12C in the province. i'll have to look out for that one. |

Last Thursday saw a Lancia Beta and a Rover P5 near the A1 in Bedfordshire.
Friday saw a Beauford (Panhard Limo inspired 'kit' car) and Saturday an R8 Roadster and a Gallardo Spyder. |

I've always assumed that ther's a field or disused airfield somewhere in darkest middle-England packed to the gunnels with unsold "lemons" like this.
I started a thread on a different website about why people buy the weirdest cars that they don't really need, but got such a mouthful in response that I dare'nt go back. But seriously, if it's usually the second most expensive thing you'll ever buy, why not look into it in depth. Some salesmen must be laughing all the way to the bank. |

There must be a meet somewhere round here today. Did an early business run and saw MGB, Midget and Minor 1000 all together outside a house, two Jeeps in convoy, and then a simply lovely Minor pick-up (there can't be many of those left).

I saw this year's 911 Turbo S (briefly!) on the M5 yesterday. As long as you're restrained enough not to ruin it with a personalised plate, it's a rather handsome brute.

997 Turbo is one of those almost real world wish list cars. Unmatched pace in a handsome and relatively understated package (I said relatively! ), which is genuinely robust enough to use daily without needing a lottery win for the bills.
One day, maybe, if I'm very, very lucky. |
