For whatever reason (tyres?) Ricky Taylor is getting quite a DP train behind him.

And just as the action gets good..... Cue commercial. Thank goodness IMSA radio had no breaks!

Ricky Taylor sounds absolutely knackered - turns out the #10's power steering isn't working for the first half of the lap.

Not sure why Conti has a lower GS car count, I noticed there no Astons and only one BMW M3. Maybe it's more expensive going to Canada or something, or maybe it's feeling pressure from the PWC's GTS class and taking some cars out.

At the moment they do. Being harassed by the #5 AER in traffic so let's see if it holds.

Does anybody keep track of pit stops using IMSA t&s? And are they correct?

Gutted for the #5 (my FRC pick goes begging yet again...) but this is going to be close. Negri is close enough that if there is a problem for Cameron or Taylor he'll pick up the places.

Also not a bad race by the Mazda which I hope is the final race for the diesel. They actually finished ahead of the PC's on pace.

The 60 car had intermittent power steering; no fun in a street car. Their lap times were erratic late in the race. Taylor was pretty ragged out too. The slow fuel hookup on the last stop cost the 31 the win, IMO.

What did you guys think of the race with just P, GTLM, and LMPC only on the track?

That was probably the best weekend of racing so far. The Conti series was great as was TUSC.
Couldn't ask for much more. |
