I surely hope this track will survive just out of spite. I get tired of people that build next to racetracks, heliports or whatever and then expect them to shut down because of noise. And pollution, give me a break, oil and other junk that gets dumped on highways and roads causes more problems than a racetrack that is used a couple of times a year.

Raglanparade should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
lakeside is historic.... much more challenging then queensland raceway with its flat hairpins. Lakeside is a true gentlemans track, however short.
The v8's probbaly wouldnt ever return there due to the pitlane facilities... but for smaller catagories... it would be a blast !!
long live undulations !

ps. all you have to do is download and race the Lakeside track that has been created for Grand Prix Legends the computer game and you realise how much of a great circuit it is.

Lakeside is a fantastic drivers circuit, and is certainly more of a challenge than Queensland Raceway. But they were created in different era's and if you start with a billiard table, it's very expensive to build hills.

Lakeside should be saved for club level motorsport, and I hope the funds are found to do just that.

Does anyone know who bought the package of engineering plans for Lakeside at the clearance auction?
