ALPINA will not participate with a factory team in the championship this year:

Engstler Motorsport will campaign at least one Alpina in the ADAC GT Masters. Alpina has also entered two cars for 24 hours Spa.

I thought Alpina stopped their own team already over a year ago and last year only some client teams were running those cars in 2010, so there's nothing new to me in that news bit.

Last year s-Berg Racing entered two Alpina's in GT Masters. They entered one Alpina in a few European rounds. Besides s-Berg there were no teams racing with Alpina.

Well hopefully someone enters one of those big Alpinas in GT3 or Blancpain, those cars had a character of their own.

Some more news for 2011:
- WRT Racing 2 Audi R8s, along with their efforts in the Blancpain Endurance series: http://gt3europe.com/newsitem.php?key=633 - Prospeed with a Porsche: http://gt3europe.com/newsitem.php?key=632 Defending champions but last year they had Marco Holzer. He won't be back, and it will be Paul van Splunteren with Maxime Soulet. |

Since I can't edit my post anymore, just to add, DSC also has the news including nice renditions of the liveries for the 2 Prospeed Porsches. They look mighty fine.

Ferrari 458 GT3 testing at Interlagos. Looks nice. I wonder why the decision was taken to go with that rear wing mounting point.

Seriously looking forward to GT3 this year. With so many different makes and models of cars on the grid, we should have some some brilliant racing. Quick question. Will the GT3 races be broadcasted live on the internet like the GT1 is? I hope so, otherwise I have no way of following the series.

Seeing as though Ratel sees all future GT1 cars coming from the GT3 ranks, I would say its a good chance, although someone here did say Aston were building a new GT1, they didnt name their source though. ??
