I have BEER!!
Ian, would be good to see you and Cap'n Black, cold beer supplied,
Sheila, I do know the meaning of Moderation, I just don't believe in it!!! Have had a great day today, seen the doc, arranged the Specialist appointment, then we went.......................................... SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tracey is now wearing a very nice ring. And, I played in a wheelchair, Steve, you're on for a round the paddock race sometime soon. Tracey pushed me around for a while, but independence got the better of me, I was popping wheelies and doing handbreak turns within 10 minutes. We sat in the garden tonight, and I had my 1st beer since Friday, before the accident. |

RING? Does this mean congratulations are in order? (sorry couldn't find a smiley that said "engagement" but that one's near enough!) I'll be expecting a picture of said ring on here soon! |

I think he means he's downloaded the crazy frog for her!
jase, sorry to hear about you damages (physical and financial), hope you're soon up and about. Since it hasn't been mentioned, I'm surpressing my natural curiosity in asking how this event occurred just in case you don't want to tell us. We are, however, inventing some elaborate rumours to fill the void of actual information! Jan says "get well soon" as well. |

Ouch, even nastier than I'd imagined. Still in a couple of years it will be "When I was hit by a car at Le Mans, not far from Mulsanne. No, it was dark, but it might have been an Aston..."
Hope you're soon healed. |

You copycat Jase! My gran did exactly the same bone, although she did it by turning her foot over on a pebble. She says men are wimps, because when she did it, she had tubie grip, and painkillers, that's it! And we went on holiday! Took a while to heal though! Anyway, heal quick, and BE CAREFUL on those crutches! They're not meant to break a land speed record!

Latest from Jase - his consultant is none too impressed with the French treatment! Due to the fact that the break is right at the top of the bone near the ankle, it should have been operated on and pinned! There is also no need for the injections.
He has a new cast (the other one was totally trashed as we had to bodge it together on Sunday with duct tape) from his toes to his knees, but it's fibreglass and a lot lighter. He has been told NOT to walk on it, and has to go back in three weeks for X-rays to see if it's healing ok or if surgery is required. He will be coming to stay with me and my parents for a week or so, so he will get constant nagging to rest it! JASON - SIT DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

If a broken bone in the foot was not enough of a problem.

Well, i think that's a perfect example of why in breifings we're told to ensure you keep the car upstream from the traffic and have someone looking out in case another car is on it's way in. That one would be perfect to use in the training sessions next year - and i like the way the marshal starts having a go at the driver for nearly wiping them out, it proves it's not just drivers that get irate in the heat of the moment.
