Didn't go to Snet in the end. I got asked to work Monday night, and with the various time off I'm taking over the next few weeks, the extra bank holiday pay will come in handy!
Was thinking about it while at Brands, but by the end of the day I was tired, so didn't bother. |

Yeah slightly on the impracticle side for trackside, probably more aimed at remote hiking landscape snappers. Who shoot far away from where they can get a car to.

Looks like the model could do with cheering up a bit too.......mind you, if someone forced me to wear that and be photographed I wouldn't be too happy either......

http://www.venturesport.co.uk/ventur...p?parseid=5162 Very impractical for trackside, but handy for remote stuff given for sunrise/sunsets etc, I may be stopping overnight & also need tent, food, water, safety gear etc.. as well as my camera kit. Also has lots of attachment points to strap stuff to & the best thing is it's pretty comfortable to lug around. |

Hi from Australia lads and lasses,
I carry a Nikon D70 with my latest toy a 70-200mm f2.8 Sigma lens which I highly recommend to anyone even remotely considering the expense! , 200-400mm f5.6 Tamron, 18-70mm Nikon and 70-300mm Tamron which covers pretty much everything I need at the track. 2x 1GB Extreme III cards, 1x 512MB Lexar 80x card and an 20GB iPod with Media card reader. |

Kit:
Canon 20D Canon 18-55 (soon to go for a 17-40) Canon 50 f/1.8 Canon 70-200 f/2.8 avec 1.4x converter. Bags: Body, small lenses and converter, plus spare battery, my sole 1Gb card (Yes, that is enough if you shoot it carefully/well.) live in the shoulder bag that came with my first Film SLR. Big lens lives in its own case. Both of those go in my simple, un-assuming college bag. Might get something specially built for the job at some point but, I'd rather get the kit to put in it first. Coat/bib/Thunderbirds sash: On a recent trip to Berlin I discovered that my 5 year old 'Airwalk' waterproof coat is great for photography - a massive front pocket big enough for my body and a small lens thereon, a second front pocket for two small lenses/converters. I have worn it more since making that discovery than in the previous five years ... Last edited by Owain Shaw; 8 Jun 2006 at 21:48. |

Please note, despite illusions of seriousness, the following statement is made entirely in jest because labour is cheaper, before being shipped to the UK:
"For the sake of the preservation of my lofty rating of the world's reading comprehension, I'd rather like to think that you can be the only one who read that and despite the absence of an apostrophe and an s concluded that the coat belongs or belonged at any point in life, to a five year old son or daughter that I may, but do not in fact have." |

don't worry - the illiteracy was purely in my reading and comprehension, not in any way a reflection upon your high standards of written missive.
NB My failure to capitalise the first person singular is entirely due to laziness, not ignorance. |

as for equipment - Lowepro mini trekker, Pentax *IST D, Sigma 24-70 f2.8 EX , Sigma 70-200 f2.8 EX, Teleplus 2x converter, Pentax AF360FGZ flash (with stofen) several memory cards, spare batteries.
When i go up to shoot round the track the camera, both lenses, converter, memory cards and spare battery go in my photo vest along with my blower for when i change lenses. |
