That's the one!

I think I'd like to have one without wings for the road and an outragous Gosser Beer Batmobile for the race track!

The new BMWs are absolutely disgusting looking, really they are.

No class to them at all - like a Welsh girl wearing make-up.

New 5 series looks like it hit every branch when it fell out of the ugly tree. Before landing in the ugly blender. That said, I haven't seen it in the flesh yet, so I may be wrong. Still, you know they are going to sell loads...

Another look-alike feature...

Another thing I noticed...
Don't the head lights remind you of the last-gen Saturn L-Series?

I thought, all Saturns are ugly, but that is quite O.K..

Well everyone's allowed an opinion...even when it's wrong! Must admit though that some of their latest creations (eg. Z4) aren't very nice to look at, but some of the oldeer ones - especially the M-Cars - look pretty tasty.

I think you'll also find that whether you like them or not, BMW don't often make cars.

Even if someone gave you one?

I'm not fond of them either, but that is a bit extreme!!

The rest of my opinion...

I haven't really stated my whole opinion about the car, so here-a "summing up" of the 2004 BMW 5-Series, by RacerGuy2:
Front-Not really bad, but not the greatest; the grille definitely says "BMW".

Side-Also, not that bad, not exceptional; large concave area at bottom of door makes it look like it got side-swiped.

Rear-Looks utterly cheap. It says Honda/Acura, although the bumper area looks nice.

I still think that the current 3-Series is good for a BMW, though. This car (except for the grille) doesn't look like a "proper" BMW.

Opinions are never wrong, only facts...and the sad fact is that BMWs look awful!

Sorry, but I've had enough philosophy this term!

Some opinions are more wrong/unorthodox than others.

As for the 5-series, must agree that it's hardly the best looking new car out there!

While we're on the 5-Series, here's a spy shot of the M5:

The car resembles a PONTIAC. Not my idea of "Teutonic Engineering" and "Ubber Sedan". But that's just me...

No class to them at all - like a Welsh girl wearing make-up.

What's up with that, m8? We don't get too many Welsh people in the States. I find Irish women to be quite attractive and I ASSUME that Scottish and Welsh women would be too. Am I wrong?

I think Logrence is thinking of the Rhyl and Bangor slappers rather than the South Wales valleys babes (they don't all look like Catherine Zeta Jones, but they do all sound like Cerys Matthews... )

New M5 out in 2005. Splendid - I should be able to afford a 2 yr old current one just when their price drops then. 400bhp 5.0 V8 will be ample for me thanks...

5-Series Wagon...

By the way, there will no longer be a 5-Series, nor a 3-Series wagon. Therefore, besises the M version, this is the only way this car will look.

It looks like the roof and the body were designed in different places without any eye contact.

The M5 is better just a bit- I don't mind it however the 'softened' and not so distinct M treatment does look a bit pontiac-ugh
and woah how much body roll?
at least the 5.5 V10 will liventhings up
