In fairness they did not say competitive monies would be offered. RTI doesn't offer enough for a full season competitive ride either. The problem is not offering enough for a decent ride makes the winner appear less capable than they might be

I expect they think their champion should be able to find the other half. Mind you, Jamie has won it twice, although some of the first win might have topped up the Rodin budget for her disastrous Formula Regional Europe campaign. |

And it's taxable so although Chadwick has won $1m over the last two seasons she won't have $1m for a drive. She's saying that the F3 budget is four times the money she has.

It’s not taxable as any driver at this level should have things structured correctly. It’s turnover, not profit.

I think they aren't exactly. public. All we know is that Catherine Bond Muir has some wealthy contacts.

Yeah, upsets & confuses me. Upsets me because shes clearly got talent and deserves a chance to compete at a higher level. Confuses me because i thought the whole point of the series was to find talented drivers who can move on? It clearly doesn't work in that regard. Still, from what ive seen they must be getting good viewing numbers, people must be pumping the money in for some reason because its not cheap to get the coverage they're getting, to ship cars around the world and to put up the prize money.

Is it just me, but I does anyone else think that photo shoot in Hello magazine destroyed everything W Series is working for?
Getting young drivers to dress up in glam clothing completely ruins the image of the girls as "serious racers fighting a sexual stereotype" and re-enforces the old buffer view. Such a shame. I thought the sport was rising above that, especially in F1 with the cancellation of the grid girls. Sent from my AC2003 using Tapatalk |

I get what you mean, but it’s not like Lewis or Alonso etc have never done any “modelling” before.

Yes and they're derided for it. Equally F1 wasn't set up to change gender stereotypes.

I don't know. If you see Lewis Hamilton or Jamie Chadwick as any less of a racing driver because they did a modeling shoot, that says more about the individual than stereotypes. They can do what they want, otherwise, it becomes another situation of men telling women what they can and can't do.
