Yeah I see what you mean, but it manages a quality entry list as well as a one of large quantity. I reckon that now it is just Supercar Challenge they will sort this out, but I hope they don't mess with the open style of the championship.

WTCC has no pitstops in normal condition but use ballast. GT series organized by the SRO have a Balance of Performance test before the season and use the results and feedback to impose restrictions of various sorts on the different cars. Besides the power to weight ratio used for the different classes the (Dutch) Supercar Challenge uses penalty seconds rather than added weight for several reasons: *Because the SC usually is not the main act of the weekend it's rather limited in its use of the weighing facilities and the parc fermé area, so it is impossible to weigh every car. At Spa all classes race together and after the race the first six of every class are put on the scales but it always is a mayhem to organise this as the parc fermé has to be cleared when the next race has finished. *Additional weight causes several parts of the car to wear out quicker, making it more expensive to run a car. Not beneficial for anyone. *Penalty seconds are clear and easy to check and regulate. It also causes the usual front runners to be thrown back a bit so the public sees more overtaking action. If a driver - car combination is still way ahead of his fellow racers organiser Dick van Elk has reserved the right to impose additional ballast. |

That's awesome!
I'm happy it's finally out for everyone to see so I don't have to be afraid to spill any beans. Just three more weeks, I can't wait! |

Lots of Vipers. I'm new to this series, so what're the dominant cars?

I love how Mad & Daring have put 'THE STIG' down as one of their drivers! I wonder if this means Ben Collins!

The C5-R looks awesome in red!! Always good to see old ladies still running, and looking at this pictures makes me once again realize how the two older models own a far bigger place in my heart than the current challenger ever will...

Good to see C5Rs and C6Rs on the track together, and those 2 types of Vipers as well. |

I was in the Praga factory the last couple of days. They will start assembling the new model in the next couple of weeks as parts come in from various suppliers. The engine and gearbox are already there.
