I thought Ryan Dalziel was Jimmy's replacement.

Originally Michael Valiente was the man to replace Vasser at PKV?

I'm not sure there's ever been any link between Valiente and PKV

if Dalziel wasnt good enought to stay at coyne for more than one race then why would PKV be intrested in bringing him on for a season. Im thinking that they have the money to put towards hiring a driver with some talent.

I've rarely read anything as ill-informed. Dalziel's departure from Coyne had little to do with ability. He is a very talented driver who would do a good job in ChampCar. |

Dalziel is much better than Bremer IMO.

I don't think it's that easy to say things like that. While Bremer was certainly on a better team in HVM, his debut performance surpassed Dalziel's. On the other hand we all know that Dalziel did better in Atlantics. Also, I may be incorrect but I believe that Bremer did not run every race in Atlantics last year which I would think gives us an indication of the level of his equipment, etc.

I'm pretty sure Bremer was in all the Atlantic races last year, I think he switched teams mideason though. Dalziel did 2 full years in Atlantics.

Since I don't get any coverage of the Toyota Atlantics races my lasting impression of Legge is her doing a backflip at Rockingham in her Formula 3(?) car a few years back.
I hope she does eventually get a ride in Champ Car though, and her strategy seems sound. |

I think Vasser can race for a few more years, he's still got it

I love Jimmy, enjoyed watching him for many years but I think Ryan deserves his shot for 2006.

I went on the CC website and they had a Katherine Legge Driver Diary.
Is it me, or wasn't Katherine a blonde? Because on the website photo she is a brunette, with a kinda-sorta Danica style. God I hope CC isn't making her to be the next Danica or something. |

It never made Jacques Villeneuve any faster, either.

Having seen Katherine in some non-racing moments (in Portland, the Atlantics staged directly behind us at T12) I can say if CC hoped to make her into the "next Danica" they'll have a fight on their hands. Danica's not the be-all and end-all of female racers, and I bet Katherine knows it.

Danica is a great driver, so is Katherine, they can't really be compared as they've never raced head to head. Both of them have better oppurtunities than most women get. Danica having Rahal take her in and completely fund her in a VERY competitive ride in both Atlantics and IRL. Katherine having Kalkhoven fund her ride in Atlantics. Both of them were underfunded and running minimal budgets in Europe in years past, and more recently Katherine in Fran-Am in America. I'm pretty sure they would run at a similar level of competiveness in the same series with equally competitive teams.

This was a response to a picture that I saw of Katherine. A recent picture showed her as a brunette. I thought that at one time I saw a picture of her as a blonde, thinking that she changed her hair color to look like Danica. Mackmot and I were commenting on hair color. We were not making fun of intelligence. That's all. |

Another win for Katherine today in San Jose.
No more details yet as no race report on the Toyota Atlantics website. |

Amar7605, I know that. I was intending on talking about stuff other than hair color because I thought it would be interesting to hear about her.
Daily said that he throught San Jose was her most impressive performance to date. I'll be interested to see the race. |
