Leclerc pits for mediums just as the VSC comes to an end.

You can talk about Ferrari making poor decisions on strategy most weeks but im not sure it matters anymore. Red Bull are dominant. Shame because the early races of the season were genuinely very exciting but now Verstappen just dominates.

Danny Ric's engine goes, that's really bad luck. FCY.
Russell and Sainz pit. |

Why didn't the other lapped cars pass the safety car...? And why did they take so long to bring out the tractor?
Shame we got robbed of an exciting finish. Amateur Hour. |

Finish of the race was pathetic.
Daniel Ricciardo retired what, five laps form end of race. On a long lap. Why the hell did it take so long to get the lift to his car to get him moved, and why the hell did the safety car not pick up Max Verstappen rather than George Russell. That was an absolute joke,. **** poor. F1 management need to look at how BTCC deal with safety cars. This was just awful. |

De Vries comments were GREAT, thanks and congrats ending with ****** my shoulders are dead.
I think the SC blame for not picking up Max falls squarely on George not passing. Light was green in the center of bumper and roof lights but he didn't pass for at least a lap |

The FIA are absolutely terrified of people being on track while the track is live. I'm beginning to ponder whether their insurers are driving this apparent fear.
I don't know how far the telehandler had to drive to get to Danny Ric's car, but that could have been plucked back into the gap at the exit of the previous corner in less than one lap under local yellows or a VSC at the very worst. A disappointing end to a disappointing race. |

So the SC was just too far back... It should not let George get past but speed up to Max. |

I thought F1 cars had power steering? I don't see how you can blame Russell for that, he doesn't decide when the SC is deployed. This is purely down to race control. |

I have a feeling they planned on rolling the car back using manpower, since the gap in the armco wasn't that far... only to realize much too late that the car wouldn't move and only then called for the tractor. I could be wrong tho, but at least that's the impression I got.

They probably could have got the race going more quickly, but I certainly think it was the right call not to throw a red flag, particularly considering it would be a standing start afterwards. The standing start is a good feature of the race start and makes the biggest difference to the race, but being at the start gives those who lose out an entire race with which to recover, and those who gain an entire race to lose it, whereas with late standing starts this is not the case and the final two laps become more important than the entire rest of the race. If there was a rolling start after the red flag it would be better.

But by the same token, no way in a million years should that incident have caused five or six las under a safety car. An absolute joke. |

He was told twice by the team to pass it and didn't claiming it wasn't green, there were a couple radio messages and mentioned a couple times in the coverage
