Checked the weather on two different sites. Both say its going to be sunny on Sunday but they conflict on Saturdays weather. One says sunny and one says light showers.
Better pack the waterproofs then!!! |

Even the mod prods were fun, seeing that Starrion get it's back end out at every opportunity. Just need another 15 or so to make it worthwhile. And thanks to the guys in the med centre that gave me directions to the nearest pharmacy, it allowed me to shake off one almighty headache and enjoy some great racing on Sunday |

I think Anglesey has it's very own weather system!
Glad to say that that my tent managed to survive the night, unlike some other poor souls. We did bend a few poles of the Gazebo (sp?) though whilst trying to take it down. Still a very enjoyable weekend with some excellent racing. |

My tent didn't even survive the night as the fly sheet was shredded by the wind by 8pm!! The remains were quickly taken down and rolled into a ball and deposited in a bin! Luckily I hadn't laid out the sleeping bag. A quick phone call and myself and Paul Newns headed off to a hostel in Bangor where wet probans were dried and we sat in front of the TV drinking beer till well after midnight

Saturday was quite good although my back was giving me grief - old age creeping up faster than I cared to admit.
Was fed up of getting wet again and had to have travel inn heating on full blast all night to dry my probies and boots. Sunday morning and me back was crippling me so much that I couldn't get up from the breakfast table (Or was that all the croissants?) In Bangor it was still chucking it down and strom force 10 - so I decided to chicken out and took a steady drive back along the A55 PS - who's tent was it that was almost in tatters just behind post 1? (There were three - it was the one in the middle) Tried re-pegging it twice but fear some of it might have ended up somewhere near Dublin! |

Thanks for that Mark. I re-pegged it down at the end of racing with some of my ex army tent pegs. They all stayed in place but the wind shredded the fly sheet.
I held a one minutes silence for my tents demise today!! |

Indeed - to the sad, premature end of what was, a lovely little tent! Perhaps we could rename the corner of the Circuit where Mike's temporary shelter was ravaged by the elements...........Camp(ing) Corner? |

well they'll need some new corner names soon... you'll have to petition for one of them to be named in the tents memory

There should be a Peel Bend on the new circuit - John Peel was stationed there for his national service (don't know if he like motor racing...)
Thanks all for staying out there in some awful weather this weekend - crackin' weekend's racing |
