TBH I think I actually would. If they're gonna do a bigger version that 1:18, it should be 'big'. His helmet the size of my fist please.

I don't understand the "looks like a toy" argument. Err, don't they all look like that when you think?
Minichamps are making a few 1/8 scales. I seem to recall they had a 1/8 2001 Williams-BMW FW23 in the works. They think they are Amalgam Models! |

I think 1:18s look very well done. I just don't think that on their own the 1:12don't look right and they look like a toy and not right.

Of course, it's just your opinion. I actually think they look pretty damn cool. Would look great in my Senna display

You got the 1993 Williams FW15C Rothmans 1:18 that Ayrton tested at Estoril yet?

No I don't collect test cars. I just want a nice collection of all his cars from each year in F1. Not the original minichamp models of his '93 Mclaren and '94 Williams with no driver figure..I guess you have?!

I've only got the Rothmans Williams Imola '94 10th anniversary re-release (full tobacco livery) and the first win JPS Lotus (full tobacco livery).
I don't know, I just never wanted to get the full set yet. |

I am wondering if the time has come to sell off my huge Senna collection? I am more interested in my Montoya models these days and really need the space for those to expand into... any idea if the Senna cars are worth anything these days? I've not been following eBay?

They are worth nothing and I know someone who'd accept them all for free.
Should get an average of £40 for them I'd have thought at the least. |

The time has indeed come. I have decided to sell off my Senna collection - a sad moment but then times and priorities change. If anyone is interested in acquiring the full collection or indeed in an individual car within please drop me a line and we'll see if we can come to a deal!

Another thread emerges from the depths and proves that, as one door closes, another one opens....
Having missed them all when originally released, I've been gently acquiring a representative selection of Minichamps 1/18 Senna McLarens over the last few weeks (via evilbay). Prices seem to vary considerably, so I'm happy to sit around waiting for the odd one to come up in my price range. I now have MP4/4, 4/5, 4/6 and 4/7. It's all a matter of taste, but I do think they look rather nice As has been mentioned before, they can look a little light on detail, but IMPO the F1 McLarens of that era looked much smoother and cleaner than the current ones. ( And no, I'm NOT buying as an 'investment' - just for fun.....) |

I recently sold my Rothmans release Senna Williams. Made a nice three figure profit but I was sad to see it go.

I've got the 97t and the MP4/5B in 1:18. Thinking of selling them. The camera bit has fallen off the latter, which probably trims a fair bit off the value.

Not sure what you mean. But now you got me thinking about those boxes in the attic, I'd be interested to know if anyone is interested. I have got a complete run, after all, including the JPS, Camel and Rothmans liveried cars.
