CART to race in Korea!?

I lived in Korea for two years, long enough to know the culture. If CART were to race there, the Koreans would love it! Especially the younger crowd.

MotorRock would be very very popular there as well. This has the makings of a spectacular world class event!

I think one that would be very marketable to the Television audience too.

The desire of Korea to become more like Japan in the westnernised sense would appeal to people, but there would be no legitamacy to this event and a track would have to be found and those new circuits are horrible.

Nope - Changwon is barely big enough for F3 cars - Indycars round that circuit would be a worse procession than Brands was.
I base this on marshalling Champ cars at the Hatch this year and F3 round Changwon for the last 2. 2003 is the last year of the current contract to run F3 cars there, I guess if CART/OWS/whatever acronym aim to go to Korea it should be to a new facility somewhere in the Seoul area.

There ain't nothing that concerts shouldn't able to fix. I bet the Korea will hit Champ Car fever as long as Sir Elton is there with the Autocross.
