Nicko - good job here. Personally, I think the rounded red bit doesn't really work. It would look odd going around the track at speed. Rounded paint jobs just seem clunky on a performance car.

After you have finished adding the silver fern you may like to add some speed

Ive just done some with a silver fern, but they are very rushed. It dosent look to bad with a silver fern (red fern at this stage)

Nicko great effort, I personally would think it would a lot better with white wheels instead of black, but otherwise great effort.

NO WAY the white wheels look really bad. I mean the silver wheels look bad enough. The black mag colour wheels have always looked the best on the team kiwi racing cars.

So have you got anything to do with TKR nicko?
I didn't know that they used the public's ideas for liveries that much.

I hope that they use it though, it really does look good, especially the front, but i think the swoop doesnt look that amazing, makes it look slow - but it fits with the rest of the paint job.

I could imagine, if they used your paint job, that would be magic for you wouldn't it?

Yes. My course finishes in 6 months time and to go to an job interview and show them what I had done for team kiwi, and then for team kiwi to use them would be a huge advantage in this industry. I know people that have been trying to get into the graphic design industry for over a year, so u gotta really market yourself out there.

The so called swoop is actually a stylised kiwi shape, basically a development of what TKR had last year, but now it gives more impact for both the sponsors logo placed over the top and the rest of the car.

The Kiwi shape is very clever. Quite a good design, well done, aesthetically it's quite pleasing, but I'd definantly incorporate a silver fern somewhere in there

Any race car with black wheels looks average to me!

Front looks quite impressive though.

Hey Nicko great work.Got time to try a kiwi car.OTR boys need a Ford one.Boss man just at my place and will use it and pay you for it if he likes it.Your call but nothing to lose if you have spare time.We only know one person in NZ that does it full time.Could be the start of a beautiful career.I know first hand finding some one in NZ to design merchandise posters etc is not an easy task.Private message if you want a go.

Ok Nicko - I didn't get the stylised kiwi shape thing... maybe a bit too subtle...?

The stylised Kiwi thing was pretty blatantly subtle Well done!

Mr Keen - Keen graphics people are everywhere if you just look. I am surprised that OTR and indeed Orix themselves don't already have a graphics company.

The TKR car is sh!t hot and Nicko's enthusiasm must be a dream come true for TKR - maybe a trade-off of a couple of ride day passes in return for use of Nicko's livery wouldn't go astray....!

A very black car wont look very good with white wheels. They have been using black wheels all along, and there is no need to change.

Well here are my latest drawings showing the new fern design. I personally dont know if I like the kiwi or fern design better so maybe you guys can tell me. I know many of you might have your doubts about the colour of the fern but its just something different from the silver fern which every kiwi sports team use.

hhhmmm, looks quite nice. I spose it doesnt look as good as it could because we had all become used to the Kiwi bird thing.

How about having the little leaves spread a bit more apart, and have a silver shadow sort of thing under them?

Looks nice mate.

The Kiwi was very subtle and hard to pick where as the *silver* fern is in your face. Give the team 2 proposals and let them decide.imho
