RB, the simple answer is that Bauble should not be allowed out on his own. The post should have read; 'It is not THE Lester MG, as there were several built. You did ask, " is it the Lester MG," so I assumed you were not aware of other models. My apologies.

A few brain teaser hear I suspect, I found these while browsing through my picture archives. I claim no knowledge, so don't expect chapter and verse on any answers;
Best of luck. |

No replies so a few clues;
Two of the marques are better known for their 500cc Formula 3 cars, and both produced GP cars (careful on that one). One is an innovative US make, another has an MG engine. One uses the makers initial in it's name, One I no nothing about apart from a name in a program. Hope this helps. |

I will have a go at 3 of them, 2, Tojeiro, 5, Chaparral, 6, Dargue MG.
1 of them must be a Keift another could be a Cisitalia. |

Not a Cisitalia, it is a make I have never heard of and even Google can provide only details of it's entry in a few events. Style, colour and name suggest Italy, but I have no idea other than that. To be honest it is ridiculously hard unless you know the car, but it makes for a bit of fun. |

Just recognised the crash helmet of Neil Perkins so the 1st picture has to be his RGS Atalanta.
I lived in the next village to him for 12 years! |

The Red car could be the Mille Miglia Balino.

Well done Bob, I thought that no one would get the Balino, I know I would never have found it if I had not got the picture. Total mystery to me.
Yes the RGS Atalanta, and the Emeryson, I think the only one made. Do you want more? |

Lets have some more. They are good practice for our annual quiz in the White Horse. Will you be bringing your team of snappers this year? It is on Thursday November 28th.
If I remember correctly the Balino was driven by a regular VSCC driver Geoff Toms who always competes in Fiats ssssssso my gues it is made up fiat engine & parts. |

Would the Balino be a cross between a Fiat Balilla ( which I think Geoff Toms races ) and a Topolino ? Enjoying the pictures and trying to find the right answers even if I get as many wrong as I get right !

Your idea sounds sensible, and would account for never having heard of one before. The driver is Geoff according to the program. Glad you enjoy the pics, but be warned I devising a few quiz style entries for RBS to swat up on. Cheers, Bob. |

OK! Name the six marques and find a seventh. Not too difficult.
