tblincoe and JAG are correct, Dyson will be in the ALMS P1 category next year with new equipment. That's why it's safe to say the reg adjustments aren't aimed at them.

I suppose you could suggest that it also provides AutoCon with an opportunity to not upgrade...

OK - thanks for the update; I didn't know Dyson had signed up for the new Lola!

Autocon I assume are just 'testing the water' for a new(er?) car in '06! -- I'm a great admirer of Brian Willman, his ability behind the wheel and his willingness to pay serious cash to go sports car racing but that R&S is clearly well past-it...

Brian Willman was on RLM saying he would like to run a new car for the full season in 2006.

It will be interesting to see what becomes of the "old" equipment come 2006...

Depending on how many cars to the new spec are on track. Is another reprive possible?

Hopefully enough new spec cars will around by then so the R8's etc will be consigned to the historic circuit.

This really only concerns Audi.

The likes of Courage, Lister, Zytek/Creation have all said its possible to upgrade a car in stages, firstly as a hybrid, then a new tub to produce a full reg car for 2007.

That's a 2000 spec r8
Does anyone know how many r8 chassis are built and where they are now?
I really hope to see as few as possible next year...

Looks like the two LMES Zyteks could well be sold to ALMS teams.

Good news all round as it looks like JOTA and the Works team will move onto new prototype projects in the LMES.
