Amazing how much lighter the cars look - not sure we’re going to get two cars going side by side into the Fogarty Esses anymore (well, it didn’t really work then!)

1.36 both cars got away, spectators happy,

4.22 something impossible with NGTC

5.17 again small nudge , both cars get away with it

8.30 ditto

16.18 again

18.05 again at same place , again both get away with it


so this cars were really well build not like certain category today

and even without contact this cars/ tyres combo did allow plenty of passes

• Equally it will allow discussion about the race to happen without getting ruined by the usual. Which is courteous to your fellow members.

Thank you, Adam, these "topics" has become exceedingly tedious especially so as it is highly unlikely that a change in the regulations and rules will permit either a stronger hub link or allow the previous "nudge to pass".

As a follower of both the other threads, I sincerely hope that they won't just become a place where repetitive posts saying the same, over and over again, etc.

If Doble had problems with brakes, and Cammish (after only 8 laps), and others have problems this afternoon, after a couple of drivers mentioned brakes fading being a challenge after the Goodyear test, is there a possibility of races being shortened like t Thruxton with the tyres a few years back?

I know they've messed up the team there, but was the Halstead engine change driver points earlier this year after one, or two engine changes?

The brake wear is a new thing for drivers to talk about this season.

The reality is that it just evens out the amount of brake discs a team can throw on a car.

I don't think many teams would risk it. And if they did start to, I'm sure it would be very quickly cracked down upon by the stewards, with penalties upto and including exclusion from the meeting. As anyone who has ever put their road car in for an MOT will know, brakes (along with tyres) are the component that's examined most seriously.

18 seconds! That's in "being lapped 3 times in a 24 lap race" territory

It's also very clearly a car problem, though quite why he completed so many laps is a bit of a mystery. He was off the pace in free practice on Thursday, but only to the extent of 2-3 seconds off the back of the field.

It must have been a typo/brain f*rt because it has now been amended to the Excerl8 team.
