They should stay in continental North America with a thought to Australia for a one-off NASCAR special. Some of these execs are itching to go abroad for the sake of going abroad without having a clear purpose in mind beyond some chic soundbytes.
Meanwhile we're on here having a comfy time daydreaming about NASCAR going to every exotic locale this side of the planet Mars. That's fun and all but it's divorced from hard reality and tough economics. The NASCAR circuit is congested with tracks in North America, there's little room for anywhere else and what room that is there, should go to North American tracks like Road America and Mid Ohio. |

If they are really want foreign drivers in NASCAR they should start series worldwide and give the winners a drive in K&N Filter East or West series.

I don't think that Nascar can convince Turismo Carretera, Stock Car Brasil, V8 Supercars and BTCC to turn into Nascar feeder series, much less kill them to create Nascar Brasil, Nascar Australia, etc.
V8 cars can run at Melbourne. Stock Car can race at Salvador street. TC2000 can run in Buenos Aires streets. But stock cars can't turn as quickly. |
