Valve Bounce has been held in scrutiny for further testing

Welcome to the forum, Oldfield. I hope you are not related to David Oldfield. TGF stands for The German Fellow, as distinct from teh other MS (Salo). I had to ask that too when I came, every new comer does. What TGF did is standard practice for such situations - let's close this thread, please.

Actually Mika Hakkinen did something similar - Silverstone 98 - Pedro Diniz was the one to go off in that race.

Jersound, you should be able to tell by the curl of my lip that I mean no disrespect by using the term "TGF".

I have immense regard for the ******* *******.

I think you will find, Dani, that those who use the initials more often than not do it in a dismissive way because they don't like Schumi.

Nuvolari,

For once we nearly agree. It was started by someone with a lesser regard for the man than many but it is convenient and most people do know what it means and it gives new members a chance to ask a question and get a good response.

I prefer Mickey-the-Shoe but it takes a lot of typing with one finger!

TGF or whatever, is there (like the others) to be challenged, criticised and generally tore down when he does something questionable. He should be and often is praised by fans and critics alike, when he does well. That's the man and that's why he was the "shining light" of F1 after Imola 94 and before MH got his act together. (I was a Hill fan)

I like to see him and the others race. I don't like unfair practices and from what I've heard the slowing down to a crawl and accelleration past the flag was not unfair or unsporting. It was standard practice so, along with the supposedly "iffy" starts this year, I don't agree he was wrong.

He was wrong in 94 and likewise he was wrong in 97.

which one of you guys if you were put in a f1 car and knew that certain things had to be done for your own good in the race which shumi did and for that matter any other driver "with experience would have done" wouldnt do it. Well the guy had the decency to apologise afterwards eventhough it wasnt his fault.I guess it passes some people that sitting in the cockpit of a F1 car with your heart rate at a mind blowing speed will do such things within the law of motor racing for his or her own benifit and good.
One last thing I'd like to say is lets just enjoy the racing rather than throw **** at the first person we dislike.
