Can't really see it happening for Rick to be honest, doesn't seem to be alot of "talk" about his chances recently. |

If the rumors are true about Ekstrom's testing times, and I believe they are, I would not be shocked to see him contending for a win.
It's more than a puff piece. I don't know about the legitimacy of Kelly actually getting the ride, but Red Bull is actively looking outside the stock car ranks for a drive for Watkins Glen. They pursued Ron Fellows but his personal services contract with Chevrolet stopped that. |

Kelly?
Interesting that Ambrose was given permission by Toyota to test Robbie Gordons Chev when tyre testing. http://www.sbnation.com/2010/6/4/150...yota-swap-cars & Marcos is to have a go on the clay: FREMONT, Ohio -- Some of the best drivers in the United States have competed on the clay oval of Fremont Speedway in the historic Sandusky County Fairgrounds. Now add to that list NASCAR Sprint Cup drivers Tony Stewart and Marcos Ambrose. Stewart, a NASCAR champion and owner of the historic Eldora Speedway dirt track in Ohio, will pilot his own winged sprint car at “The Track That Action Built.” Joining Stewart will be fellow NASCAR driver Marcos Ambrose and his crew chief, former champion of the All Star Circuit of Champion Sprint Cars, Frank Kerr. Local sprint teams will provide the cars for Kerr and Ambrose. Fremont Speedway Promoter Rich Farmer said there is a possibility a couple of other NASCAR drivers may be on hand as well. “Frank and Marcos came here last year and raced and had a blast and said they wanted to do it again,” said Farmer. |

It would be nice if Mr Gordon could get into Mr Ambrose's Toyota on an oval, and suggest some changes he could make to make the thing run better... of interest, Mr Martin did some work with Mr Ambrose's Nationwide car a few years ago, and the improvement for Mr Ambrose was significant & noticeable... learning curve & all that...
Better still might be fun for Mr Ambrose to truck his mid-size backing up to Hendricks, and get a car run from there... the Chevs are not lacking for anything... while the MWR Toyotas... hmm... how would such a brand switch go with the fans? |

Just seeing Marcos up the front in anything would be good, he has found too many walls this year. Great to see him put to use in the #24, the experience in that car will help him a lot, let alone the respect he is getting from still being a clean racer. There is a lot to be said for sportsmanship, even if nice guys do finish last sometimes.

True enough but it isnt the prominent Toyota works outfit, and they have blown up a lot of engines... JGR, the love bunnies of Toyota, build their own while MWR take 'crate engines' from TRD...
