Thanks. I still don't understand why though, especially with these guys trying to find the limit in practice they're liking to have to cut a chicane to avoid trying to follow the track and possibly spinning the car or what not.

Bourdai's last lap was spectacular though not being quick at all. Across the chicanes at the back was awesome, made some great viewing.
Pretty fair qualifying session with only 1 red flag from memory. Dominguez was another surprise in 3rd. |

However Tag is complaining of wheel spin and an overall lack of grip, so he's not performing at his maximum. Good pole for Servia, just edging Mario. Hope to see a strong race from Mario. It's been a long wait and Surfers is usually a good race, so I am straing at the bit. |

That was some good qualy runs, if Mario can keep it controlled for sure he'll take it. Good job by Oriol he showing that he's not gona let go of that seat without a fight.

Well done to Will Power in 11th, shaping up to be a great and exciting race, just hope Bourdais doesn't win.

Now, Marcus, was it necessary to say that Del Monte equaled his best career qualifying?
Thanks for the joke...ha ha...i'm laughing... Back on the main topic - this race should be quite interesting. It always is. I can't think of one Australia race that disappointed me, there's always some sort of excitement going on. (Besnard - 2004) My predictions for the race? I think Team Australia is gonna surprise us this race...i'm rooting for that team completely... Bourdais and Tracy are going to have more drama...since Bourdais is not in the lead and can't easily run away from the field...and i can see a lot of bumping and smacking midpack as well. Viva l'Australia! |

maccaddy, the 140Km main V8Supercar race was on. there will be two 100Km races either side of the Champcar race today.
What amazed me is that on Thursday a regular workday they got 56,000 to watch the V8utes, Porsche Carerra Cup and the Aussie Racing Cars. |

Yeah, it's always fun to watch the V8 Supercars races hours before the Champ Car race at Surfers Paradise.
