Apparently Frentzen may not drive for JORDAN as reported today in F1live.com, check it out.

HHF agree'd to drive for EJ though...it was Frentzen's lawyers that pulled him out of driving for Jordan .

Eddie Jordan is frustrated that Heinz-Harald Frentzen will not race for his team this afternoon.
"Heinz came here to race, Jordan came here to race, it was a natural thing," said EJ.

"People think that there's friction between us, that isn't true, three years ago he was winning races for us."

According to Jordan the current court case between his team and Frentzen had nothing to do with the final outcome however:

"The offer was a sporting gesture," he said.

"We had a real meaningful discussion, we wanted it to work. We had the approval of everyone from Bernie down it would have been novel and unique. I'm sad it didn't work."

Eddie was asked why he hadn't simply written Heinz a cheque for monies owed, but the Irishman was unable to find an answer…
As said by Eddie Jordan.

It's really sad that this deal didn't come through - it would have been great to see HHF in a Jordan on the same track where he won for Jordan three years ago, even if he would have had to start from the back of the grid this time. It was very disappointing to switch on the morning warm-up today and find out that HHF wasn't going to race after all.

Basically, Frentzen's lawyers stopped the deal because they didn't want to risk legal repercussions from Arrows and Tom Walkinshaw, AFAIK.

Hooked on the subway buzz at the moment but food for thought. Don't smoke either. HHF is one of my favourite drivers I hate to se him being told to go out and don't you dare qualify. Would have been good to see him in the jordan. See how much he thinks the car has improved. Does EJ not have a 3rd driver??
