Me thinks whoever ends up on top at Sauber next season will be the most likely to get the '05 Ferrari drive, as long as Schumacher decides to hang up his helmet for whatever reason - be that satisfied with what he's accomplished or feeling his reign is over. In which case Barrichello may remain to help the Sauber lad learn the ropes before bowing out to another driver in '06. Who will that be, though? The other Sauber driver? Possible, but 2 seasons at Sauber is a long time to risk in mediocrity. Alonso? Too expensive? Will Flav let him go if Webber goes to Williams? Raikkonen? Perhaps the best bet, as his McLaren contract runs out at the end of '05, and by then he may be fed up with having to deal with Montoya
'04 M Schumacher Barrichello '05 Barrichello Massa/Fisichella '06 Massa/Fisichella Raikkonen Whatever happens, the next few years in F1 will be some of the most exciting for the last 2 decades, and will signal the start of a new era! |

Anyway, back to topic. I wouldn't be surprised if it was Rubens again. |

what makes you guys think Rubens has to go?
He's doing a good job. Ferrari have absolutely no reason to get rid of him, and until both him and michael retire, neither Fisi, Massa or anybody is going to Ferrari. I think Rubens will stay on after Michal's retired to bring up somebody new in the team, ie Massa or someone like that, then once that someone has matured within the team Rubens will retire and an old hand such as Fisichella will be brought in to bring up the rear. |

i really don't think it's all that far-fetched for jv to end up at ferrari for 2005....it could very well be both he and rubens together....who knows?.....the f1 musical chairs arrangement never stops long enough...i can't see kimi at ferrari....ron dennis will try everything short of handcuffing him to the mclaren so as to not let him escape...we'll see...we may still see a surprise or 2 before they line up on the grid in australia....

someone young enough to be JV or Fisi's grandson.
Perhaps Schueys son Mick, if he isn't "past it" by 2005. |

Alonso but really it should be Fisichella because he has worked his skill in bad cars but also it is his dream. but then again is'nt it most people dream to drive for Ferrari.
