If I remember correctly, Ginetta made a lot of noise about selling cars at the start of the formula, and they did sell some, but they had a falling out with Oreca over the drivetrain. And then they lost interest somewhat. Does that ring any bells?
The Adess and Dome never really took off. |

Ginetta also made a very failed LMP1 car that only did about 3 or 4 races, I do feel at times Tomlinson needs reigning in a bit.
He has made a hugs success of entry level sports cars in the UK especially, does not mean that translate to international level sports cars. I do admire them for trying obviously and I hope it works. |

More on the new Duqueine car:
https://www.dailysportscar.com/2024/...h-new-d09.html I think it will be difficult for Adess and Ginetta to find substantial amount of customers. |

Something about the Ginetta makes me think of if Herbie the Love Bug was modernized and became a LMP3 car with it's nose.

Here is the Ginetta testing with the V6, unfortunately with lots of other engine noises in the background.

The new V6 doesnt sound bad but i just dont see why it needed a change? The V8 works well, its like everything in life. People just cant leave things alone. They just have to change things for changes sake.

Both the V8 and V6 are stock blocks but production of the V8 has stopped.

And having dealt with 9 of them in 2 races at Petit, the sooner that VK is gone the better. Sounds like crap and goes nowhere quickly. Far far far too loud for taking 5 min to drive past but I'm stuck with flocks of them cause HSR has picked up the class now

Yeah, it's not the noise itself but the excess for the speed. Coming out of the paddock and up the hill at Road Atlanta, great noise; coming past T4 and grabbing a couple gears to crawl past not so much.
But then I HATE the Carrera Cup cars so maybe don't take my complaints as worth anything. But they suck and the ringing as they go away hurts my brain |

Have to admit, I'm not so much a fan of the Carrera Cup cars either.
