WSR had the best car out of any of the Indies (because they'd spent 3 years developing it) and 2 of the 3 best Indie drivers - one brought money and the other had to be loaned in from MG and paid out of their (measly) budget for the season. In reality, no other team had comparable talent, even though many were better funded.
Techspeed weren't well-funded at all, and I don't think they got much support (financial, technical or otherwise) from Vauxhall - I suspect the VX Junior name was a badge of convenience. |
