Re the spectator numbers at different circuits when historic racing is on - as mentioned by Coppice in a previous post: the recent CSCC event at Oulton did have a large number of spectators (for a club event), but this was a much larger turnout than we'd normally see at Oulton for a CSCC meeting. I put this down to the fact that Richard Hammond was competing at this meeting, and I guess word had got round about this, which attracted more than the usual number of spectators. There was certainly a bigger media presence than we'd usually see.

So whether or not there would have been more spectators without this than what would typically be seen at other circuits I can't say. But certainly Hammond's presence did boost the numbers, that much I can say.
