Wouldn't it be easier and impossible to judge from the outside to just take away 10-20 bhp from Webber's engine, if they wanted to erase any risk of him beating Vettel ?
Why make it obvious and give all the fans and the media the excuse they are searching for to make conspiracy theories and hate on your team and your first driver ? |

You have to wonder though, has there been an agenda at RBR since Vettel joined in '09 to make him the number one driver in the team?? Was it something that Marko, Horner & Co decided upon to make sure the world knew that the Red Bull young driver programme infact does have merit? Was it part of Vettel's contract? Or was it part of Marko's contract, to ensure that the RB YDP would produced a WDC? We all know Webber doesn't actually have, and never has had, a written contract to race for Red Bull. A loophole that Marko exploited perhaps??
IF that has been the case, and RBR indeed decided to make Vettel the number one driver in the team, and focus on him from 2009 onwards, one has to wonder how Vettel would feel about all his "achievements" so far. Would he feel as happy knowing that he's main competition was in fact restricted all these years? His main rival, and probably the only person that could have challenged him, maybe even for the WDC's, was deliberately held back and not allowed to challenge him?? Is this is why drivers like Alonso and Hamilton, don't rate Vettel much as a driver, and are always praising Newey's car? |

I thought Webber looked a little miffed when he stormed off. That explains it, no batteries.

You strike me as a bit of a conspiracy theorist 321Go. I couldn't care less if RB were intentionally holding Webber back, but there's never been any solid evidence, from Webber himself or anyone, and it's nothing but heresay because the likable Webber has never been a match for Vettel. RB still want to a win a constructors you know. |

About the position of Mark Webber in the team, that has to be one of the reasons for his retirement. He says it isn't, but Sergio Perez said he wasn't talking to anyone one day and then signed to McLaren the next.
I distinctly remember Mark Webber's KERS failing a lot throughout it's return season with RBR in 2011. Vettel's hardly ever failed. And it's been the same throughout. Vettel's last problem was Abu Dhabi 2012. Webber has had China's Q problems, China's race problems, and now this, all since then. Fair? |

That's what I'm hoping for, but I'm afraid Lewis will get a slightly poorer start than the guys around him and fall back a few positions straight away while Vettel takes a lead that he doesn't relinquish.

There is the Hungaroring dirty side of the grid issue which may help Hamilton.

Webber must be glad he's leaving F1 for Motorsport at the end of the year.

The crowd at Hungary today is incredible, I'm guessing Kimi's success has helped it.
Haven't seen that many people on the hill since the Communist years. |

Unusual amount of overtaking for a dry race at the Hungaroring.
