Where did you hear that Jota ran Switzerland?
I also think Greece were run in-house & not by Arena despite what wikipedia said. |

Greece was definatelly run by Arena, saw it with my own eyes at Brno.
Poor Mr Earle got his crew at China but no money, no owners, no drivers ever arrived. How typical |

Last year Switzerland was run by DAMS, but this year apparently by Sam and his team.

Yes, but that does not mean there is no license.
The only thing I heard about this is that LuÃ*s Vicente was somehow involved. He was also in the Portugal and Brazil franchises. |

Who knows...you also need the money/team to run the car. Maybe one of those two is not as easy to find as was expected!

How much for buying a license?
How much does it cost to run a team? could be still a good investment to buy a franchise and the sell it when the championship is up Look what was F1 20years ago and what is now Last edited by META4; 15 Feb 2007 at 13:22. |

they have thought of that meta4, licence varies in cost according to how much it seems worth in the future to each company, hence the gb licence was a lot more than the greek licence etc

what about the cost to run the team (without crash expenses )
Does the car belong to the team or to the organizator? |

I would say it costs 1-2m$ to run the team?
I think the car belongs to Lola, and is leased by A1GP. Same thing with the Zytek engines. |

A1 GP doesn't really own anything.
The cars and engines are leased from Lola and Zytek. The garage boarding is bought by the teams from Showtrax. Ohlins own the dampers. Avon own the tyres. A1 is in big debt, with absolutely nothing to show for it. |

They are trying to build fanbase's in "non-motorsport" countries, which is why obscure countries like Lebanon, Singapore, Pakistan etc are in it. |
