Fingers still crossed for the Autometrics car to show up in their 997 GT3. I don't know why. Maybe because the 997 GT3 was shut out of the series before?

The final ("final") bop and aero lists haven't been released either. I still don't believe in SMP staying below 900kg |

Nothing new of any note compared to the Roar. Not surprising.

Looks like they took the Roar entry list and changed the heading to Rolex 24. Sergio Perez still listed as driver in the TRG Aston.

So much for the hopeful thoughts, they were just late. Solid entry though, interesting and diverse. There's a whole lotta new car smell in Daytona!
When was the last time there was not a privateer Porsche in the GT2/E/LM/LMDi² class in an IMSA race? It's interesting how much Porsche Motorsports' business model has changed over the past few years. |

Also noticed neither of the GTD Ferrari's were able to get a 488. Are those not ready yet? |

They were at the Roar testing, and all of the sudden there was news they wouldn't be racing because they "weren't homologated." Apparently that was code for "sucks and are slow."

BoP is out:
http://www.racer.com/imsa/item/12536...eleased_125369 BR01 loses 10 kgs, DW gains 5 kgs, Ligier up 10 kgs. DPs are unchanged. Only the Corvettes were changed in GTE. Slightly smaller air restrictor. I can already hear the Corvettes fans screaming bloody murder. Slew of changes in GT3. I'm guessing the DPs are going to smash their Roar times in qualifying. |

Are you also insinuating DPs have been sanding? |

Any time that car is changed (or another car is changed favorably) the Corvette fans lose their minds. And I'm sure the DPs were sandbagging. They weren't close to their times from last year, when the Ligier, DW, and Mazdas were faster. |

"Turbocharged GTLM cars from BMW (sweeping boost reductions), Ferrari (sweeping boost reductions), and Ford (sweeping boost reductions) have had adjustments, except for peak RPM boost." And who doesn't ***** about BoP? It's kind of hard not to. |

P2s have certainly improved and it's certainly not out of the realm of possibilities that all 8 or so DP teams decided to sandbag together. Is there no other reason? Weather? Off season adjustments? We'll find out! |

GTD fuel restrictors are subject to further IMSA testing
I guess we'll get yet another BoP bulletin after practice or qualifying then. It's only been 1 original + 3 revisions between November Daytona Test and Roar, and now this update post-Roar, so what would 6th bop change before first race matter at this point? Hell throw in 7th while you are at it. |
