Probably because it wasn't LMP

Porsche LMP1 which "never existed". Can I choose this one? Amazingly smooth curves for a LMP. At least from those few spy pics that exists from this one.

Dario911 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Oh, how hard is to give an answer to this question...
There are a lot of beautiful LMPs, so it's very hard decide what's the beautiest!
I like the Porsche RS Spyder (I'm waiting the model I've bought on e-bay!), Audi R8 and R10, Panoz Lmp 07 Evo, Ferrari F333SP and Pescarolo.
Those are my favourite LMPs.
So if I could mention my favourite LM GTPs, those are my nominations:
Bentley EXP8, Peugeot 908 and Lola-Aston.

In order of preference:

Bentley EXP Speed 8 & Speed 8
Audi R8 & R10's (Special mention of the Crocodile paint work from Adelaide 2000)
Panoz LMP 1 & LM07

Mind you I'm a sucker for a any close top Prototype!

Well, it was LMP-with-a-roof, which is close enough...the 908 would be in LMGTP today too

I quite like the current Acura too.

My all time favorite LMP would be the Riley & Scott MKIII. More specifically:
Screaming Eagles Racing (anybody know where this chassis #005 is today?)
Doyle Racing
Dyson Racing (in the 97 paint scheme)
MSI racing

Recently I was fortunate enough to photograph two of these cars. Here are a couple pictures I took:

I'm not very keen on the very latest crop of LMPs. I loved the '02-'03 Panoz and the 1999/2000 BMW LMR.

The Oliver Garden Lola was certainly pretty striking, and the short lived Cadillac LMP in 2001 or 2002 was really nice looking too.

A great looking car.
Off topic but come on now. MG Sports & Racing didn't destroy Rover. The Ownership group (Phoenix Holdings) raped and pillaged the company for their own benefit. In spite of the starternator cr*p these were the first cars to show the promise of the smaller/lightweight cars. How many times were they leading or pushing the R8s when the starternater left them dead in the pits? IMHO they paved the way for the current Acuras and RS Spyders.

It was a loaded comment as I knew I would get the responce you just put. No offence ment by it though. The car has been, incorrectly descirbed by some in the media.

Anyway back on topic, another small car that looks amzing is the Radical:
