Are you referring to Peter Schetty maybe? he was in charge of the Ferrari endurance program from 1971 to 1973 I think and did a great job making the team extremely competitive again

Weaver/AWOL is one of the alltime great partnerships, true! Don't think I'd put James in a Japanese engined car (read the bit about his outing in a March-Nissan at Le Mans in Mike Lawrence's March book, I think he's PNG with Nissan ;P). How about adding Geoff Lees to that mix? That'd be a great crew.

If we are required to only use active drivers then I offer this:
Car 1:
Alan McNish-Franck Mantagny-Ben Devlin
Car 2:
Wayne Taylor-Scott Pruett-Guy Smith

(I had to put Wayne Taylor in there as we both live in Altamonte Springs, FL)

Just read through this it is clear that the most consistantly chosen driver is Allan McNish who appears in all but a few peoples list - mine would be:

Allan McNish
Jan Lammers
JJ Lehto (circa 1998)

James Weaver ( partly for the entertainment)
Jackie Ickx
Pedro Rodrigues

Aslak
If the question was putting together a 2 car LeMans assault TK would difinately be on my list. But the question posed was for an entire season-for that I think the odds would favor a different approach. I tries to 1 one guy in each car that is quick and will protect the equipement. The others, younger, perhaps faster, and more willing to take chances in traffic. I looked at it as setting up sprint/short enduro teams. I don't think TK is the guy for that type of scenario.

I think that most of us would put TK on our team if it was a list of drivers for Le Mans, but the question wasn't specific to Le Mans and we just don't get to see TK at too many other races.
