I'm not surprised at all, actually I believe that the fine McLaren payed to FIA went right into Ferrari's pocket ! What do you reckon ? Are you mad about that ? We all knew it didn't we ?

Well I think we all knew that Ferrari got something for just turning up for many years,but didn't realise that they were also being funded quite so much just to stay in F1 because somehow they feel that Ferrari are bigger than F1.I for one could live without Ferrari being in F1 if it meant that Bernie's money was shared fairly.The only downside I can see is that we might lose another 'classic' track!

It is all history that you are coming up with.

From of coarse a Ferrari fan for 45 year's, but worked at Cooper & knew RD well in my early day's in Woking.
I have to say, I give up with F1 & I would hope Ron will to.
Take a rest buddy & try to find our family again.

how ignorant do some think the other teams are.... how naive to believe that McLaren, Renault, BMW, Williams etc do not know what they get... win, lose or draw.

The reason the still sign up is because regardless of what Ferrari get, they also get mega money... it seems only the disgruntled non Ferrari fans who experience any frustration

To be honest I am not surprised with Bernie's words. FOTA has done what other alliances have failed ot achieve - unite ALL the teams, including Ferrari. Bernie is well aware that CVC needs its income to stay alive. Currently there is no Concorde Agreement, this means the teams can effectively walk away without penalty, Bernie knows this. In 2008 we saw the beginnings of a power struggle and these words from Bernie are just the next phase. Max has recovered from his "difficulties" and has tried to lead the teams into a new era. Now Bernie is trying to have his say, and his opening gambit is listen to me or I can spill some pretty nastey beans about what really goes on.

Just my opinion.

He is, but I genuinely believe he is scared. What is happening to him, CVC and F1 is to a certain degree beyond his control. CVC have only $200m "breathing space" in their income, i.e. if it drops by that then they can't make their interest payments. That was a reasonable amount of breathing space before this year. Circuits are struggling to meet the CVC costs, governments won't back them up, manufacturers are having a very difficult time. I feel the worm has turned against Bernie and this is his way of trying to fight back.

I bet they didn't think that Ferrari got $80,000,000!

And the reason that we don't here too many tales of woe from Williams is because they too were "bought" by Bernie shortly after Ferrari.

If Bernie is a "common" business man, and I'm sure he's not, like any other running a good business, you make deals with each one, negotiating and making bargains by "the face", or like some say, your weight, your price. In the end everyone in the business has his tail attached to each other, so if one runs, all the others will get hurt...

so the best policy is remain quiet.

Should Bernie go (which would be welcome) - as FOTA has managed to unite the teams - I've said this before and I'll say it again - FOTA would be the best people to run the commercial side of things.
