The SpeCTator should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I am referring to the pro that spends more time at Brands than the crows in the trees.
Some say that he has a camp in the woods and only comes out to the sound of racing engines and his parents bring food parcels at weekends.
He would have got very wet today and I even wonder if he retreated back to camp before the end of the programme, sadly I dont know because i went home

Olympus e-1, Zuiko 50-200, spa 2007, FIA GT. It rained, lots...
I'm not familiar with any of that kit - but it looks like a movable zoom lens, is there not a chance that water could get in the barrel?

I shot a number of CART/Champ Car events in Canada, and always found it ammusing watching the pros getting ready to shoot a rain race. Some have their own rubber boots, rain pants, rain jacket, etc....and then protect their $10,000 camera+lens combo with a plastic garbage bag and some borrowed tape. That said, I believe the Canon L-series lenses are somewhat weather sealed as are the top-end cameras, but it still can't hurt to keep the water off of them, especially when it's really pouring.

As for myself, I've made my own rain covers (similar to the one pictured earlier in this thread) with some heavy duty plastic and some duct tape which has worked well.

It's an Olympus E-1, with battery grip, plus the Zuiko 50-200 zoom. It sometimes had the 1.4 TC in there too.

It's ALL fully sealed, and NEVER has it let me down. It's left puddles in the carpet though... It's known as THE wet weather camera. Especially as they go for sub £300 these days (SOBS!).
