At other circuits they can not drive more than 5-6 laps (maybe only at Brands) in Q3 because of time. Norisring is too short and teams could forget that rule of 8 laps. And Dr.Ullrich read that article from sporting regulations during the live-stream of ARD. It was a very funny moment.

Don't forget our darling chat room http://tentenths.com/chat (or irc.phishy.net - room is #motorsport for you people who remember IRC when it meant Internet Relay Chat not Intercontinental Rally Championship! or even internernational rally championship, the sequel to the Network Q game from back in the 90's ).
I digress. Anyway, join us for live chat and if you're having problems watching the race. |

LOL Hazard. There's ARD Duffers but the live stream doesn't work over here (tape delayed, as it were, after the race, dunno about the UK) and, oh yeah (cough!), it's in German.

I'm afraid we're not publishing URL's to streaming sites here...we can in the chat room. Wink wink. Nudge nudge.
You clearly missed the hint missed, you've now missed the start. |

If you're talking to me I'm watching a stream now and I saw the start, but I don't know how to get to this chat room of yours.

A brilliant race - sensational last lap and five car fight! Great win for Jamie Green in a year old Merc.

everybody - except Scheider - must agree with that. Indeed, this was rather tedious by Norisring standards except for aficionados of pit stop strategies until the three leading cars were finally close together after the last stop. Then, however, it was brilliant!

It was a great race, but that's a rarity in DTM. Pit stops should go, and halve the races and give us two 35 minuters

Wow, full marks to Jamie Green on the win, no question. Great drives from Scheider and Spengler. That was fun, I enjoyed that.

Thats a great win for Jamie Green - shaping up to be a great championship battle between many drivers...
How is Ralf going? |

They say Scheider had some problems with overheating brakes. So he had to change brake balance (?) and was too wide in 'Grundik'.
I don't think Ralf was amazingly fast - Paul was starting 15 and all the last part of the race he was on the rear wing of Ralf's car. I won't be surprised at the end of the season if it appears to be the best finish for Ralf. |

In any case, Audi must be happy that Merc decided to put Green into a jahreswagen. Personally I feel sad for Ekström. At least I assume he let Timo by even if his pass was properly made before the yellow flags where out and then he got stuck behind him and then Paffet. If he would have had a free road ahead, he likely would have bagged thisone. Good jobb by Ralf as well (but why did he start 8th on the grid? He was faster than the two in front in the first 8 legal laps the 3 of them did). Too bad for Legge, she would have deserved a better place. |

what - even shorter? I agree on doing away with pit stops, but a proper race in my opinion lasts an hour at least. So lets have a full GP distance without refuelling! And while we're at it, why not real cars instead of plastic silhouettes that disintegrate when touched with your fingertips?
