Well, tehre were some pretty nasty good races there, that's a fact. There are still much-much worse tracks in the F1 calendar still, IMHO...

Oh, one more thing - just some advice: next time if you don't like a track just say you don't like it - that'll sound like an opinion and it's gonna be respected even more. Don't say it dosn't make sense because it sounds like you'resaying the guy didn't know what he was doing - and I don't think this much is true. Here, for example, i had a clear idea in my head. You don't like it - that's absolutely OK, I'm not saying it's a great edit, either. But that it doesn't make sense...

Dunno, years ago people here seemed to have a bit more sophisticated ways to tell me what i did was crap...

The problem is that to me it realy didn't make any sense at all. You removed a few truely good sections and some of the best corners. You may think it's better but in my view it isn't. It's not that as a standalone design I don't like it but as an edit it's a different story. To me a circuit should be edited in a way that keeps the track closest to its original "feel". At Dijon that means a lot of fast and height differences. There is only one slow corner though that one is very challenging and Three medium speed corners. A new layout should have similar properties.

One thing though, if you ever want to reply to one of my posts in which I said
Quote:
Nonetheless it's a great design.

AND saying I didn't like your design though never truely said it then please don't even think about it. Accusing me of such negative behaviour I will never like. I hope that in further posts you think about this before you press "Submit Reply" as I don't think it's too good for the atmosphere around here which by the way we both messed up now. Think about that too.

Fellas, you're both extremely good let's face it. There was a miscommunication - it's not an issue

Pretty much. Any edit would have to be from a part that doesn't flow, i.e. the top of the circuit by the hairpin

I'd say you were. I think this is fair

I'm not a fan of Bio's edit either. Too many changes there. Plus I think the scale is out a bit - some of those corners are ridiculously, unrealistically tight

My go, tried to add something without taking anything away. (which is why the hairpin is reversed instead of being removed. )

I suppose chicanes could be added without too much trouble, as bikers might object.

Enjoy

I think that may be the best one so far, Tathrim. It's simple, fits with the circuit, and seems to do the job of adding length in a good way.

Here's my from the hip edit, I did a shorter version first, then decided some other optional section wouldn't hurt.
