Handling is extreeeeemly sensitive, boys, I warn ya. Much more than I thought.

Started to get in to a bit of a rhythm though, but can't help but think there should be a little more weight involved.

It's one of those where you almost end up twitching your way down a straight, and a little over-correction just sends you in to a zig zag followed by a huge impact in to a tree.

I'll play it a few more times and get the steering wheel out and tell you a little more soon. But yeah, overall, looks great, handling seemed a little disappointing from where i'm sitting.

Are the rallycross tracks more realistic compared to Dirt2?

Yeh ok this is real, real good with the wheel... Very impressed!

Great handling, feedback's tremendous. Really enjoying it. Rally Cross is good.

Gymkhana is a real challenge. Once you get some of the moves strung together, it's a treat.

Some nice cars in there, too. Engine sounds are fantastic, as are the SFX of the tyres screetching depending on which surface your on.

Landrush is a great laugh. You can really swing those vehicles round the curves, especially on the snow/ice levels.

Rallycross in the wet is epic when it comes to hanging out a long drift.

Have to say the graphics are impressive, too. Rain dripping down the cars look sick, and the snow is also one to look out for.

Double post as I can't edit, but has anyone else been having problems with this game crashing on PC if played for more than 2 or 3 races? It's REALLY annoying me, and I'm not reverting to DX9 when this is a DX11 game!!!

I haven't had that problem Tathrim although I have had problems with some of the colours on-screen which were fixed by coming out of full-screen mode (ALT+ENTER keys). It's a long shot but trying that might fix it...?

If not, I don't know how you would do this in steam, but you could try using compatibility mode. THen I really am running out of ideas. I'll post if I think of anything else.

what platform have you guys got this for? more inclined to get it for PS3 as wheel support sucks on xbox and i can't handle racing on the gamepad. PC is out as i don't have one

was playing dirt2 for the 1st time in ages yesterday and reminded myself why i never finished it - so twitchy on pad that i never could get a decent time. D3 looks pretty hot tho

The above vids are on the XB mate, the handling takes some getting used to on a controller but it didn't take long last night to get into it

Anymore info on the rallycross please guys?, heard they have used fictional tracks what is bizarre, what are the chance's of them having downloads for real European tracks in the near future, and real current supercars? Hopefully one day codemasters will do a European Rallycross Championship simulator, with Tanner Foust and soon Ken Block's envolvement one never knows.

Only tried one rallycross event so far, though not real, the track is short and technical, and isn't out of place for the sport.

Rallycross cars.

1. Ford RS200E2
2. Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X
3. Ford Fiesta Mk.7 T16 4x4
4. Peugeot 207 T16 4x4
5. Subaru Impreza WRX STI (N14 shape)
6. Metro 6R4

Barrie - the original DIRT game has real rallycross circuits (Croft, Knockhill and Essay), the subsequent installments don't.

As for the cars - DIRT has Proctors Lotus and Boaks TT (in the blue and white livery), DIRT2 has Dorans RS200 and Gibsons 6R4. Not sure what the liveries are in DIRT3 (I don't have it yet) but I think I've seen Paillers 207 in screenshots - I'm sure others will be able to confirm.

Thanks Bert, just loading up now actually see what its about, thought with drivers input such as the Doran's assumed they'll have Lydden at the very least.

Loving Jim Conner at the moment and it really is rewarding when you start to get it together. I'm finding the rallying a little.... sticky at them moment though. The cars seem to grip a little too much. It's not hugely easy to get a nice long drift on and it seems to be a point and squirt through most the corners.
It's a hugely good looking game though. Very impressive and loving the variety of cars. Sadly I think my fave is the Opel Kadet. I may name it Oliver....
