was a chance for revenge. No matter what happened last year, must work, work, and work and become competitive.

As Al Davis always said "Just Win Baby"
Winning solves everything and even if they are behind on spares, so what? They can keep testing and be ready for Sebring, which is more important? Finishing the 12 hrs trouble free at this point or being a flash in a pan?
I also don't care about them going to Le Mans, they aren't ready (to be competitive). |

Is there any money from Tata involved in this effort? Or does PG have the innate ability to turn $10 million bucks into $2 million, like how Knicks owner Charles Dolan so gracefully does?

Looking at the practice times I am thinking running with the Ford GTs could be a realistic goal for the Jags to start anyway.

According to http://www.facebook.com/permalink.ph...d=297567887545 the team did not apply for a Le Mans entry in order to focus on ALMS.

1) You didn't reply to my PM
2) Yeah its totally possible it could look like Burnout Paradise but unlike spec open wheel cars, some cars are better in some places than some others. Which means the chances of them actually collecting somebody in their own mess is not very good. On top of that, based on last year's performance and given that the Robertson's have roughly the same budget, I already said aiming for Top 10 finishes out of 16-17 cars is the best they can hope for. They are not ready to challenge for Top 5, let alone the podium without massive accidents and engine failures not very likely. |

Let me put it this way, after last year, they have a long way to go to disprove that this effort has been anything but a farce.

confirmed new race-engineering team, including former Champion Audi team engineer Ron Mathis, and the team also switched from Yokohama to Dunlop tires.

From the outside looking in it looks like they are doing everything you would hope from improving the engineering side to focusing on testing rather than entering Le Mans.
It would be interesting to see how many teams on the grid could actuality develop a car in such a competitive class rather than buying a turn-key racer. You could argue whether it was wise to do so but IF they field a competitive car it could lead to much bigger things. For anyone who's been waiting for Jaguar to return to top level motorsport for the best part of two decades a couple of wasted years is neither here nor there. |

If nothing else, it sounds good while it's on track.

Guess the real question has to be do they beat the 11 lap record of last year in the 12 hours of Sebring? Since they have 2 cars in the race I think that significantly boosts the odds (especially if you can combine the total number of laps between both the cars).

They did cross the finish line at least once last season, so the cars can make it 2:45........if nothing goes wrong........
