it was just a sugestion as 24hr, but if we had enough of us to do this as a relay of a lap or 2 at a time walking it would work and create more intrest with the public to raise money.
The bottle does not have to be a full one, it looks the same full or empty.
if it is run on the f3/gt meeting we have plenty of time to carry it out and recover before been back on post.

I've E-mailed Oulton park today requesting permission to stage this and will let you all know the outcome asap, if we are successful it will just be a run / walk together as anything involving 24hrs , Extinguishers or pushing the Safety car round could get a bit involved...............

That's a good idea. I would love to take part so I will put my name forward for steering the safety car!

Heard the phrase "Oulton Wanderers" on another thread. Seems appropriate to this little excursion ...

Hope we get a very long lunchbreak. My lap time would be in hours (if not days!).

Sorry i should have mentioned that MSVR have said that if lunch break is shortened then they will let us do it after the meeting which would fit in well with any of us that wish to camp {and maybe have a celebration shandy!}.

Please send me an E-mail if you are interested and ill get a list started.

Dave.

Anybody coming on the saturday would think there's been a torrential downpour when they see the state of our sweaty overalls!

Could we walk this for any of us who are more portly than the rest, then there's the chance for the circuit staff to blue flag the walkers for the joggers!

Or it could be a handicap, with the younger or faster starting after people like us. Or they could offer free beer as an incentive. We wouldn't see you for dust!

Just re-read this, This implies a change in the normal F3 / GT weekend timetable, of qualy Sat / Racing Monday Can anyone shed some light, and yes I havent yet looked at the 2012 meetings thread,

I'll try to be there if possible, is there scope for a group of us to run for a suitable charity

So pleased this is gaining interest and that we have the thumbs up from MSVR. I'm sure we will just do Fosters Circuit rather than full as time could be against us, I don't care if we run or walk its not a contest, as long as we do it together
and raise some cash for good causes....Please e-mail me to be on the grid !.

Thanks to you all.

The Oulton date on the British GT website is April 7th, i.e. the Saturday, so it looks like a Friday/Saturday meeting.

Not quite Mr brand digging a bit deeper into the News part of British GT suggests it as

Provisional calendar 2012 Avon Tyres British GT Championship
Date Circuit Event

21 Mar Silverstone Championship launch & media day

07-09 Apr Oulton Park British F3 & GT

May be i should become an opera singer in adverts ( confused.com)

I'm sure it will become clearer in time

See previous posts - it's the normal Saturday/Monday format. It's possible that there'll be a Friday/Saturday meeting at Anglesey (there was this year) so you can make a long weekend of it - & no Post 14 this time!
