Could have happened to any of the top runners that, what with the tyre saving mentality.

True and they all had the same choice. The point is that Caterham are into second qualifying.

It is a shame that the tyres make things so daft. The sets they have with them are too marginal for the track.

The lack of TV coverage for Force India today was disgusting!

Fingerman is back! That Red Bull just looks like it is working really well now. Mr. Newey must have figured it out. I think both Vettel and Webber look a lot happier with the car.
As for tomorrow, it is now more of a lottery. I wouldn't rule out a Red Bull win, for either Webber or Vettel, but the others could come into the mix. It might come down to tyres. Button might have a slight advantage there, as he is Mr. Smooth. It looks like it is going to be a good race. This season so far looks really close. Let us hope that it stays that way. |

Wonder how much of RBR's success today had to do with improvements made to the car -vs- the brutal degradation of the tires here.
Excited for turn one tomorrow, what a season so far |

Spiteful or not the whole Force India thing is somewhat banal in my opinion. They are paid to appear. I don't buy the warm touchy feely approach that some may think is being displayed by Force India at this event. I do think they have severe financial problems and so any excuse not to run would be welcome. Of course I'm happy to be corrected.

Also think they may be playing to potential sponsors who see them as the only team acknowledging the turmoil (still struggling for exactly the right word but that seemed to work best, I'd defer to Peter for the best word as you're closest) in the country. May not get them a lot but if the response in editorials on Monday that an F1 team did as much as was allowed, guessing pulling out of the race is more than the FIA rules and Bernie would allow, under the rules. And yes I know it sounds like a devious and cold move on the team's part, and I used to be a huge FI fan, but the more I hear about Mallya the more I think he'd play up that PR angle especially if it could help his brands out in any way.

And for those who hate the team anyway and rubbish everything they do, at least Force India proved this weekend that it puts the welfare of employees first. I respect that, shame some others don't. And yes, DiResta put in a stunning lap in Q2 and we deserved to have seen it. |

THe FI coverage is all over the press too
http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/99062 http://www.pitpass.com/46118-Di-Rest...nth-apparently http://www.gpupdate.net/en/f1-news/2...ctice-absence/ The only FI coverage I saw was DC and Jake talking to Paul DiResta after practice. That was the BBC not FOM |
