A great circuit indeed, Kyalami is unfortunately often remembered for the wrong reasons - Clay Regazzoni's fireball in1973 and the unfortunate death of Tom Pryce in 1977.

I've got the 1984 season review, and would say Ghinzani was a very lucky boy. |

F1 could improve their US-GP by getting rid of all the twisty parts to Indy, turning the cars around, and letting them run 200 laps.
But, until this along with my ride at Minardi come along, I would say Watkins Glen. All you'd need to do is remove the chicane at the backstretch and drastically improve the barriers. I saw a wreck earlier this year in a NASCAR BGN race in which a car flew straight off the road and slammed the wall. It was a damned miracle the kid made it out, and I don't think an open wheel car would've survived this particular crash. But, other than that, forget all this Indy business and go to the home of F1 in the US...or at least Long Beach. |

Victor, I understand that because of the drop off behind the Big Bend, there is little room for run-off space, I think the whole straight and Big bend sequence would need to be re-thought-but that chicane HAS to go. |

Being from South Africa, I would dearly love a GP here.
I go to the testing in February every year and you cannot believe the crowds that turn up just to watch 2 teams testing. As has been metioned previously, Bernie promised us a GP by 2001 but to date we still have nothing and I see the 2002 provisional calendar has been released, once again not including Kyalami. Guess I'll have to be happy with Williams and BAR testing in February. |

Yea with the Glen-lack of runoff not just in the big bend but also the esses. The chicane is there because some McDuffie guy was killed at turn 9 (or turn five) in a.... Nascar race, what a surprise. Anyways, how about Paul Ricard? or Mosport?

Mugello
The Mugello track, without doubts. They have improved the access to the track considerabily and a massive work to improve the other structures is being completed. Watch THOSE spaces...

Oulton Park!
Local-ish for me, and after thrashing round it in GP3, it can be quite a balls-out circuit. Lots of fun late braking for Cascades, and the really fast left hander called something or the other (before the fastish right hander that leads onto the straight before the bend that leads into deer leap) can be interesting if you get it wrong . Hmmm, I really should learn corner names |

May I recommend that you use the excellent GPxPatch (http://www.xs4all.nl/~rsdi) to manage your tracks, etc, if you don't already |
