Old Vs New In Rallycross

I can recall my dad bringing home from work a clubman spec 6R4. A1 condition, price £22,000. Not sure if it was brand new or not.

Its a bit hard to provide the exact amount due to currency changes, but in 1991 a friend of mine was asked slightly under 100k for one of the 'yellow' 6R4's competing in the European Champ.

Okay, but the one I was offered was one of the road-going cars the Austin Rover Group sold for clean out their stables in 1986 and 1987.
