if the difference in budget between 3.5 minus the 500k and the price they're being offered by koiranen for gp3 is similar, i guess it's a close call for them to make...

Indeed but, 3.5 has a lot more track time than GP3. On the other hand, GP3 uses pirelli... We'll see how all this plays out
