Indeed but, 3.5 has a lot more track time than GP3. On the other hand, GP3 uses pirelli... We'll see how all this plays out

BTW: How many of this year's F1 drivers DID win one or more titles in the junior categories in all their years of trying?
I would send him to Indycar.
It is far more competitive and less reliant on having the right car, and there are several teams capable of running a good package.

If he immediately shone in Indycar it would mean he was probably ready for a good ride in F1 and could miss the 'learning' years in a back marker team. If he had a good ride in Indycar but didn't shine then he still has a lot to learn.....
