Personally I do like him and think he’s good, brings some enthusiasm, but completely agree on the constant squeals and gasps! |

Anyone know the tyre situation for this round? If I remember correctly, Silverstone was meant to be a free choice in tyre's from whatever the drivers have carried over. Seeing as only a couple of drivers got onto a slick for tiny portion of a race, and for everyone else, they were on wets all day.
Has the carried over/free choice tyre rule been knocked on the head or are they allowed to use carried over tyres into the Brands round? That could alter the complection of the championship if they are allowed free choice. |

Option tyre is soft, that must be used for one race. 12 tyres can be carried into the event, plus the new allocation of 4 soft and 8 mediums. Qualifying is free choice (as is FP). |

Thanks for the above. Sorry if it seemed as though I was doubting what was posted, however it was only because I trusted the BTCC's own website.
I assumed that since TOCA had taken on a new media/comms person at the start of this year that important information about such things as the timings of broadcast on whatever medium available would be put up on their own website in a timely and accurate fashion. I, obviously, was horribly wrong. There seems to be little oversight going on. |

Isn't there a separate programme on ITV (confusingly called Motorsport UK from memory) that covers all the support races?

Motorsport UK has never covered "all the support races". It's simply a delayed (to the point where the most recent episode has racing from Knockhill!) highlights package of the races shown on the live broadcast. No different from the BTCC highlights.

No, it frequently shows races that have not been on the live broadcast. Indeed this week's episode includes two races from Knockhill that weren't shown live.

Nobody will convince me that 2/3 of a season being shown is better than a whole season being shown, regardless of which medium it's on. It's not 2004 anymore. |

just one event live on itv plus the huge spectators at that event plus live streaming on itvx is much much more than a whole season of hardly anybody watching or viewing! or maybe you think its just a coincidence that ginetta grids have fallen since leaving and the porsche grids have boomed |

Entry List
https://www.barc.net/wp-content/uplo...d-02-10-24.pdf BTCC - 20 Dan Zelos is on the entry list so potentially has secured the necessary funding. PCCGB - 22 Grid back down to normal levels. 11 Pro, 8 Pro-Am, 3 Am British F4 - 20 Return of Pulling and Lloyd. Only Thomas Bearman continues from the Silverstone guest entries. MINI JCW - 14 JCW and 5 JCW Sport Zelos is still on the JCW entry list. Most season regulars in both classes are seeing out the season. Frankie Taylor, Harry Hickton and Anthony Sullivan join JCW, Lee Allen is in the Sport guest car. Sprint Challenge - 15 RS and 10 CS Regular RS grid. CS entry list features the returning Caitlin Wood (who has been entered a couple of times this year, but not raced since Snetterton so could be a similar story) and the debut of Jodie Sloss. |

Be careful when comparing ITV viewing figures, the numbers fluctuate wildly during the broadcast. The peak number that BTCC quote is very different from the average for the entire (8hr) programme that BARB use. The number watching during support races will be significantly lower.

Any word indicating if the Chevron Jr car is going to be doing demo laps during the lunchbreaks? I know they hoped to have it shakedown running esrlier his week but the poor weather may have delayed that.
