Valve Bounce has been held in scrutiny for further testing
OK, just this morning, I saw on TV that one of the Cosmetic companies (can't remember which) is using Halle Barrie (hope the spelling is correct) to publicise their 007 perfume line as exciting.
We are not talking about whether the drivers are using the cosmetics - we are talking about men and women seeing the product advertised on F1 cars and thinking "that is an exciting product - I can remember the name". Let's be honest, if the guys in this forum sit down and without cheating, write down the names of cosmetic companies on a sheet of paper, they would be pushing to get ten names down. So if they had to sneak down to the mall to buy that present for that special occasion for their partner, which one would they choose? The name they can recognise, of course.

That is precisely my point - I didn't see the name emblazoned on the side of an F1 car. I can't even remember the name of the cosmetic my wife uses. Now supposing the name of the team was Revlon Jordan, and they had this new 007 line. I'd go down to the mall and easily remember the name of the company, and probably buy the stuff (awful smell most likely).

No, I just can't see Jacques advertising Clinique (his girl friends aren't old enough to use makeup anyway) or Frenzy advertising Maybelline eye products.... And even less can I see TGF advertising Merle Norman or Mary Kay!

Now if Nelson Piquet or Jean Alesi did cologne ads, THAT I would buy. (I wouldn't buy the products because I'm allergic, but I'd buy the concept of the ads.) But Alesi's shampoo ad was even silier than TGF's ad. Although he looks nice in a towel.
