Ok already - but if you could just stop shouting...
The stewards got nothing wrong. The replays I saw clearly showed JPM to have had control of the corner prior to entry which was just before the spin and the resulting yellow. If you have control of the corner even when the yellow does come out the pass is considered completed and you don't have to give the position back nor be penalised. |

Wow, I thought Juan was the driver of the day, recovering from that spin which he honestly admitted in the post-race conference as his own stupid fault, then powering through the pack right up to the leaders again!
If he'd had a few more laps he'd have a go - but perhaps he did the sensible thing and not risk taking himself and his team mate out, and risk losing the 14 points that Williams scored today. Alonso and JPM really showed their aggressive styles at Canada - good races from the pair of them. |

Good thing that there was a track service entrance where he spun that allowed him to miss the wall otherwise his race might have been over

JPM was brilliant in recovery but he blew it himself when he spun it early on. He would most likely have won otherwise due to the speed he showed after that silly incident.
I was surprised he didn't really have a go at Ralf at the end as well. He may have been warned to be VERY careful by the team, so probably decided 6 points was better than none at all. |

Look at it from Frank and Patricks perspective, 14 points is better than none at all.

It was also quite clear that JPM's brakes were overheating badly - by the end he may not have had much left there to allow him to have a go under braking.
I thought he did a good job to recover from the spin and bring it home third. |

Juan is too hot in the head to be consistent, Ralf's head is too cold to take the necessary risks (esp. when behind his brother). MS has a nice balance of both hot and cold, is that one of the reasons yesterday's victory was his 68th?

I'd say so TTT. He was a hothead earlier, but now he's a bit calmer. I guess having 80% of all F1 records does that. "Eh, I've already beaten them black and blue. Letting them be this time won't hurt."

Q: Did you have any problems later in the race?
Montoya: I was struggling a little bit under braking and instability with the car right into the corners, especially into the chicane - I missed the chicane two times and when they told me you can't miss it any more I had to brake. I could brake like, under 100, and no problem make the chicane. Sometimes I was having problems with the downshift. Something it wouldn't downshift and I couldn't slow the car down quick enough, sometimes it would downshift. It was a bit of a nightmare. Q: How long were you coping with that for? Montoya: Um, 70 laps! (laughter) Q: Did that have anything to do with the spin? Montoya: No, it was before the spin. I had it from lap one. So, I'd conclude that Montoya actually "outperformed" his comrade-in-livery. Ralf simply followed Michael around like he was his pet hound. For 50 laps. Without so much as "filling his mirrors". Remarkable. |

I'd have to agree with that. You can be sure that IF (there's that word again I know ) JPM was P2 with TGF leading, there would have been one hell of a battle over the last 20 laps. |

Here is Patrick's answer to Autosport: "There was a technical problem that might have participated in it. For some reason the car wasn't receiving the lap marker, and the gear changing is dependent to some extent on that. I'm told it didn't change down correctly the right number of gears for that corner. He said he was pushing hard, and whatever it was, it was a spin he could have done without. He was 12s behind at the end of that lap at 1.3s at the end of the race, so he was clearly quick enough, but it lost him too much track position." |

If the spin wasn't his fault then he's defiantely driver of the day. Heroic in the extreme, mroe evidenc eof his sensational skill.
