I think we owe a vote of thanks to the guys who gave their time to the campsite organising committee.
picking up a couple of points and adding another

1 - Woodcote approach team were told about the overtime some time after 5pm (like just before the last timetabled session - knew nothing of charitable donations - but it was still ripping the products of micturition out of us.

2- absolutely right about the campsite facilities Steve - much improved toilet facilities - probably the best I can remember. The physical site itself is just something we have to get used to - (like why am I always at the bottom of the hill?) - Likewise congratulations to those who listened and did something positive. remeber though, you can keep on improving.

3- WTF was it with the bags out of sight ruling and implementation

points 1&3 got on me nips a bit

I agree with you about the bags Al. It didn't go down too well with my team either. Bags are an essential part of your kit and until special places are provided to keep them dry, out in the open is the only option.

Alan Green should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Likewise with the campsite, last year we were upset because it wasn't where we had been previously. This year we got some of what we asked for, and there are still complaints. I don't get it.

Am I the only one who had a shop price list in with my instuctions? I didn't use it because I could see that the prices were going to be way o.t.t., and bought enough food with me to feed me & my my guest well for at least three days. Cigs are clearly listed at £6.00 per 20 and I don't smoke, so aren't bothered.

The message about the charity laps didn't get to club out flag point, but then again the radios weren't working so ho hum.

Other than the ending, the F3000 race, and Stephens unplanned track inspection, I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend, facilities and all.

Just to add my twopenneth.

I thought the campsite was much improved from last year. A couple of operational hiccups were resolved promptly by the cleaning staff.

Which BTW must be one of the most unpleasant jobs on the planet.

On my (frequent) visits to the facilities I didn't have to queue once - Does that mean there was enough?

And as a final barometer Karen was happy with them too!!!!

Can anyone who was at Brands for CART and Silverstone for the GP please compare to two. I was only at Brands and the facilities were clean, efficient and very welcome. Were the Silverstone ones of the same standard?

I can only mirror what has been said in that the facilities were VERY MUCH improved on last year, thanks to those who reacted to comments from last year.

if this is indeed the case, as it seems here, then I would urge everyone who used these facilities to write/email your thanks to the appropriate authourities. We're all quick enough to moan, let's show that we're just as quick to praise.

I agree Stu, a few e-mails to the MSA and Octagon/BRDC wouldn't go amiss. Get writing folks!
