Forsythe could always move his team to a more sympathetic country, I guess. If I had his money that's what I'd do, it'd deprive Canada of the pleasure of having a team to cheer for and deprive the nannies of significant tax revenue, as well as preserving a very popular team on the grid.

Forsythe's team is actually based out of Indianapolis. It's only his main sponsor that is in Canada.

Just to throw something into the rumour mill, one thing I heard from a mildly sloshed Player's crew member (have no idea what his job was - he could have been the truck driver), was that Forsythe has a deal (or at least it's in the works) with a major American brewery to replace Player's - only thing is one of the drivers will have to be American, so someone would lose their seat...don't think it'd be Paul. Anyway, that's just a wild rumour, so don't take it too seriously.

As much as we all want to see Forsythe come out and announce a new sponsor, whether he has a deal signed and sealed or not, i'm almost sure there will be no announcement until after Player's sponsorship has ended, and more likely when the season's over.

That's not the first time I've heard an American brewery mentioned.

yeah, but there's something that doesn't really make sense to me with that one. The one he mentioned has a relationship with another team, so I have to wonder why they'd partner up with Forsythe. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me...I;m hoping the guy just gave me the wrong one.
