Hornish will leave Panther Racing at the end of the year

The rumor was that he'd be in a Dodge at Penske. What are the chances of Hornish replacing Wallace at Penske. Rusty has been a bit sub par the last few seasons and must be up for replacement. If he does run NASCAR with Penske, naturally he could run a third Penske car at Indy. Robin Miller suggested this and it seems logical.

"Be up for replacement" aren't the words I'd use, considering the history Rusty and Penske have together. Rusty himself has said he will retire soon, and one of the stories about the Hornish-to-Penske rumor (no, not a piece by Miller) has Hornish doing the ABC (ARCA, Busch, Cup) program along with some select IndyCar races in 2004 and then replacing Rusty in the #2 Miller Lite Dodge in 2005.

Then again, as with all the other stories, it remains just a rumor. Personally, as a fan of Rusty (surprise, surprise ), I would love to see Hornish take Rusty's place in the #2 Dodge.
